Satun province, southern of thailand


Satun is located in the south of Thailand, closed to the border of Malaysia. Satun has an area closed to Andaman Sea, Trang province, Songkhla province, Pattalung province and Malaysia.



Many beautiful places, such as islands, wonderful underwater world, real jungle, falls, caves can be founded in different area of Satun.



The most famous places and always popular for the tourists is Tarutao National Park which has many beautiful islands in its area (Koh Tarutao, Koh Adang, Koh Lipe, Koh Rawi, Koh Klang, Koh Khai). There is also the area in the north of Satun Sea which has less tourist than the other side of the area of Satun such as Koh Bulon-Lae, Koh Laolieng, Koh Lidi.



Satun has high moutains around the province and has such a wonderful green nature, large waterfall, beautiful river and caves which you can enjoy and relax in this area as well.



Beacuse of Satun has a border to Malaysia, a lot of tourists also plan to extend thier VISA in satun in Thaprajan border (about 30kms from Satun Town) or from Tammalanf Pier to Langawi or Kualaperis, also it possible to pass the thailand border from Koh Lipe to Langawi (Immigration office is available there)

This year 2018, Satun becomes Thailand’s first UNESCO Global Geopark from UNESCO. More information about Satun Geopark,
